[Zerase is in the library, ignoring all the fallen bookshelves unless it has a book on it she wants. She has removed her cloak and has it hanging off a corner of a still hanging shelf. The books she has stacked on a table are The History of the Scarlet Moon, The Formation of the Highland Kingdom, The Fire Bringer War and various other texts about Harmonia's history. By the books is a piece of parchment written in glyphs. In her hands she has open another history book as she paces back and forth, every once in awhile she pauses and writes something on the parchment]

That's what I thought.

[She sets the book down and goes for another]

I do not know how much plainer I can be; there are seven.

There are 7 runes. Great, there has to be a solution. Elements don't matter. A natural disaster is nothing compared to what could happen if this starts happening to the Soul Eater. Enough mystery.

[Lorelai takes a breath to try to calm herself. It might be the head wound exacerbating things but she just can't get the hatred out of her voice]

All True Runes are equally dangerous.

I'll never believe that. I'm starting to believe that you are just as in the dark as the rest of us and hiding that fact behind your fake mystery.

Think what you will. I am not all knowing, nor have I ever claimed to be so.

[Lorelai smirks coldly she finally managed to calm herself down enough to get through the rage and see that Zerase is clearly looking at something] I knew it. You never knew half as much as you constantly led everyone to believe.

[she takes a deep breath]

I've hated you for decades. I always will, but at this point I need to put it aside until this gets figured out.

I always had considerable knowledge about the Sun and Night Runes and their children. I simply have the wisdom to correct the oversights I've made in the past.

Your feelings towards me are of no consequence. Either work with me or get out of the way.

Then we both see each other in the same way then. What have you been looking at so far?

Histories involving upraising from Harmonia. Harmonia has gained and lost control of their Runes over the centuries.

I've found that no more than four True Runes have ever spent substantial time together.

And as you said we have 7. You keep working your angle I'll work mine. How much have you run across about the Sindar in the region? Not the ruins but the actual legends?

[ladyofstars]

Very little. Not everything is connected to the Sindar.

[judgementscythe]

[extremely annoyed] You know how they work just as well as I do. The Sindar built entire areas around True Runes. There may not be something there causing it, but there may be something to control it. The stories and legends in an area are sometimes more important than a survey of a ruin.

[ladyofstars]

That is all true. However whatever could have helped was most likely destroyed when the main ruins were. There are only two other ruins in this area. The Ancient Highway and the what's called the Flame Champion's Hideaway.

Again, I must stress that limiting oneself to the Sindar is foolhardy. They are not the experts you think they are.

[Extremely frustrated] My god you insufferable woman. How am I limiting myself. I am pursuing a different avenue. You are pursuing one, I am trying to find some answers in a different way. If you find the answers we seek then so be it. If there might be something the Sindar built that can control things it's worth looking in to. The same way it's worth looking in to whether it's 7 runes being in the same area. Since when is coming at things from more than one direction a bad thing?

You misunderstand. I was commenting on your attitude about the Sindar in general.

[Turns back to her work]

My attitude? You are one to talk. Good luck. I sincerely hope you find something you horribly unpleasant witch.

[Walks off with a small stack of books]
