EVENT: Iksay Harvest Festival

The day of the Harvest Festival has fallen upon Iksay, and the atmosphere has never felt more cheery for such an early noon. As one would expect of the traditional festival, extensive preparations have been made, and it's the first time in a long while that anyone has seen Iksay brimming with such energy ever since it got raided in that fateful surprise attack.

Upon entering the small village, one would immediately notice the colourful decorations, as well as the banquet in the town center. The sound of upbeat music can be heard louder with each step taken towards the festivities. The townspeople are friendly to outsiders, but watch out, you might get whisked away in an impromptu dance -- traditional Iksay folk dancers are known to swap partners on several occasions mid-song!

[ Hervey appears to be extremely mirthful, having joined a circle of men competing to down three tankards the fastest. He appears to be polishing off the feat with not too much effort, although he may be getting tipsy at this stage. ]

*while then Mukumuku joins the cheering crowd, enthusiastically clapping hands for Hervey. He doesn't really understand the point of this drinking competition but it seems fun!*

[ After slamming down a tankard -- none of them appear to be actually seeing who won anymore -- he spots Mukumuku and yells cheerfully. ]

Heeeeeeey, Mumu! C'mere, little guy!!! Can squirrels drink???

*climbs onto the table to lick the last drop of the beer from an empty glass. He shivers, not liking the weird bitter taste.* Mmmmuuurgh...

U-uh, I guess not.

[ He sees an apple sitting nearby and quickly plucks it from its place and offers it to Mukumuku in hopes of consoling the poor creature! ]

*Mukumuku accepts the apple and savours the sweet taste. He doesn't look really happy now, feeling a bit sad he can't join in the fun.*

Mu...? *frowns at Hervey; how could human drink something like this?*

[ M-maybe feels as though he's being scolded by a parent or something for drinking so irresponsibly. He also looks as though he's mirroring Mukumuku's body language and expression, seeming a bit deflated. ]

I know, I know, I should drink less...! ... How about we see who can eat an apple the fastest then, alright?

[captainfluff]

*Mukumuku shakes his head; there are a lot of foods in this festival and he wants to save up some space.

He shares the other half of apple to Hervey. Mukumuku thought after those glasses of bitter beer, Hervey will need it.* Mu?

[Impromtu joins this little drinking contest, downing beer pretty damn fast. He's had plenty of practice drinking with Elenor after all.]

[ He's slowing down now, onto maybe his fourth or fifth in way too rapid of a succession. It takes him a little while longer before he finally finishes the ale, slamming it down pretty hard before looking up. ]

[He just kept going, downing his third and starting on a fourth looking pretty unfazed as he went.]

[ Also joins this competition, stuffing his mouth full of hot chilli, his face already red and sweaty again. ]





[ Aw, shit, wrong contest. ]

[He stops after finishing his fifth to look at the newcomer, then laughs as she stuffs his face full of chilli.]
