A little before noon, there's a sudden, violent shaking of the earth, soon resonating with a series of loud cracks as the ground opens up in front of the manor, down the center of the courtyard, and elsewhere on the castle grounds. Although the tremors shake the builds, loosening roof tiles and disturbing the areas of new construction, nothing managed to completely fall.

And just like that, after only a few minutes, the worst of the quake ends and soon subsides to weaker tremors until, finally, it simply stops altogether.

((OOC: Thank you Lila for writing this up! Feel free to RP either during the big quake or the small tremors. If you want to RP your characters reaction after the quakes, it might be better to write up a new post so the order of events don't get mangled up in this post. ))

The tavern is curiously more crowded than usual tonight. Perhaps it's the recent influx of travelers who have decided to stay at Budehuc, or the fact that it's a certain squire's birthday, but the barkeep hasn't seen such a big crowd since the days of Nadir's plays. Drowned out by the drunken men's laughter and absurd stories, a small band of musicians can also be heard playing near the stage.

[ Moana can be seen walking around the castle grounds with a rope in her hands, seemingly searching for high places. ]

That harvest festival was sure fun, wasn't it? Some of those dance moves looked real complicated, too... I'm kinda glad I stayed away from that!

A-Anyway, does anyone have any tips on how to get taller? Everyone at that village thought I was a child! Ohh, if only they knew that I run a really important and legitimate network..!! No child could ever have the matchmaking skills that I do, no sir!

The day of the Harvest Festival has fallen upon Iksay, and the atmosphere has never felt more cheery for such an early noon. As one would expect of the traditional festival, extensive preparations have been made, and it's the first time in a long while that anyone has seen Iksay brimming with such energy ever since it got raided in that fateful surprise attack.

Upon entering the small village, one would immediately notice the colourful decorations, as well as the banquet in the town center. The sound of upbeat music can be heard louder with each step taken towards the festivities. The townspeople are friendly to outsiders, but watch out, you might get whisked away in an impromptu dance -- traditional Iksay folk dancers are known to swap partners on several occasions mid-song!

Hehe, the quests just keep rolling in! I'm not surprised after last month's success. I've gotten so many positive reports thanks to everyone's efforts, such as increased numbers of volunteers within the farming community, Lady Marjorie getting a sequel, a young couple getting married... even that big scary crab monster died of old age! Doesn't it feel great when we affect the community in such a positive way?!

However, our work is just getting started, and the Legend of the Budehuc Quest Guild™ begins right here! As always, if you see a job that suits you, just let me know and I will make sure you get in contact with the client! ♥

This post is basically a mingle post, so thread-jumping and replying to everybody is encouraged! You can start multiple threads wherever you want and everybody can reply to anyone! Depending on when the first part of the ball slows down, a comment will be posted indicating "PART 2" and then you can play out the events at the conclusion of the night, after the ball has died down! ))

[ A carriage comes to a halt at the gates of Budehuc, and a young woman clumsily steps out of it, dragging a big bag of luggage with her. She adjusts her glasses and takes a good look at the castle in front of her. ]

Haa, I finally made it~! So this is Budehuc castle, huh? It looks even fancier than how they described it! In a place like this, drawing people and jobs together isn't going to be hard at all, that's why they got the best matchmaker on the case after all, heehee.
