EVENT: Current State of Affairs

[ Thankfully, both the doors leading into the war room managed to get through the earthquake undamaged and are now shut tight. Behind the doors is a room that's mostly still in shambles, but it's now occupied by a big table borrowed from the tavern next door, as well as enough chairs for everyone in the room to be seated on, if they wish. ]

I do not believe that sealing the second True Wind would solve our problems if there is one.

Perhaps what would need to be done is combine the True Wind Leknaat's apprentice bears and the one that has no bearer.

How could that be done? Do you know of anything that could help with that?

I am unsure. Perhaps modifying a sealing ritual would do it.

That boy will grow up resenting his rune, and now we talk of cursing him with a second one...

Is it really the only way?

It would not be giving him a second rune. Rather it would be uniting True Wind as one again.

There can only be Twenty-Seven True Runes, having more is a paradox and nature abhors paradoxes. Uniting the two True Wind Runes should fix the paradox and should have little affect on him.

[pause] I knew Luc when he was a child. I would very much like to see a future where he is not burdened so.

If that will bring everything back to normal at the expense of nobody, then we shouldn't waste any more time here. I will set out to Alma Kinan tomorrow morning, regardless of what the others find.

Then that just leaves us with the issue of who's gonna talk to Luc and who will keep an eye on our local vampire.

As I said, I knew the boy growing up and do not wish to see him travel down the path of destruction again.

No, I'll do it. I make good spy, and I've got the best shot at getting through to her if things turn for the worse. You can have Jeane do it while I'm gone.
