EVENT: Summer Days

It has been a hot summer for Budehuc this year, and yet there is little to no signs about it coming to an end, even if the next season is expected to show around sometime in the near future.

The warmth of the sun seems to be inviting just about anyone to the lakeside, including the builders and locals from the neighbouring towns of Iksay and Nor. Some have come for the serenity and beautiful scenery, while others just want to have a swim or enjoy some water games. Keep your eyes out for flying beach balls and frisbees!

[ It's hot enough that Nash, for once, is not wearing a scarf, though he's not dressed for swimming, either. He's hanging back, but unlike many of the other people leaning somewhere in the shade, Nash seems to be enjoying the atmosphere. Still, what he says is: ]

Are you sure it's okay to be out in the sun? I hear heatstroke strikes worse the older you get.

It seems likely. [ After all, Sierra seems like the most miserable person here. ] But I'm afraid I've always been reckless.

Reckless people always do seem to be the hardest to comprehend.

I've seen you around forever now, but I've never been formally introduced...

Hi, Nash, not very good at formalities. [ He offers a hand. ]

Shigure. Eh, don't sweat it. They're not my strong suit either.

So, Shigure, you've been around here forever? [ A longer forever than Nash, at least. ] What do you think of the place?

What do you mean? Like, the constant merchants and other loud tourists make this place a pain, but other than that, it's okay I guess.

Just making small talk. It's kind of an out of the way place for so many people to wind up. Especially while the lord of the castle is off on some mysterious business.

Hmmm. It is pretty odd. I sometimes wonder more deeply about it myself until I remember I'm more suited to finding puzzle pieces, but not assembling them into a picture.

If that's the case, how do you know if your pieces are from the same puzzle?

That's too big a pain for my brain to handle. My boss deals with figuring all of that out since he's the genius. I'm merely a worker bee.

Oboro. The one our little detective agency is named after. But don't tell Minen I said that. She might take it as an insult and kick my ass for it.

[ Ah, another detective. ]

She likes to put the pieces together herself, huh?

Well, she tries! ... I need to shut up.

She didn't tell you about the assassins, did she?

Assassins? The only one I can recall her trying to peg as one was Zerase and oh how I wish she was simply an assassin...

The spooky lady in black? I did see her out at odd hours…
