EVENT: Summer Days

It has been a hot summer for Budehuc this year, and yet there is little to no signs about it coming to an end, even if the next season is expected to show around sometime in the near future.

The warmth of the sun seems to be inviting just about anyone to the lakeside, including the builders and locals from the neighbouring towns of Iksay and Nor. Some have come for the serenity and beautiful scenery, while others just want to have a swim or enjoy some water games. Keep your eyes out for flying beach balls and frisbees!

[ He definitely feels more at home in this kind of weather and setting, and it shows in the lazy contented look on his face. Evidently he's already taken a dip in the water judging by his wet shorts, and now he's just baking on dry land, eyes wandering. ]

[ Judging by the look on her face, this may be one of the most distasteful events in the world. It's absurdly hot and noisy, leading to a general feeling of unease and discomfort. She stands in the shade, deigning to human-watch. Just for a short while. ]

[ The lakeside was always a spot for her favourite pastime, which involved taking quiet walks and taking in the scenery, however lately it's become flooded with more people every day. It's gotten so busy to the point where she's forced to walk incognito, hoping less people will recognise her while on break. ]

[Hugo is dressed for the weather in a pair of orange swimming shorts with yellow suns on them, but he doesn't dare go near the water. He's afraid he'll cause the whole lake to boil]

[Lorelai is leaning against the wall outside of town staring aimlessly past the people having fun. She can't help but be noticeably distracted by the events that had taken place since she had arrived, her mind thinking of nothing but the possibilities of what could be behind them.]

[After finishing his final inspection of the tent and set-up for the first show the next evening it was finally time to relax.]

[He tears off his top and he and a bunch of his fellow gladiators run directly towards the docks and dive straight into the lake]

[ It's hot enough that Nash, for once, is not wearing a scarf, though he's not dressed for swimming, either. He's hanging back, but unlike many of the other people leaning somewhere in the shade, Nash seems to be enjoying the atmosphere. Still, what he says is: ]

Are you sure it's okay to be out in the sun? I hear heatstroke strikes worse the older you get.

*Erin isn't dressed in her usual collared shirt attire; the air too hot and her neck begs for a breeze. She is tying up her hair into a big bun, struggling to keep them compact.* Next year, I should cut my hair before summer.

[Ever on duty, Grenseal has somehow found himself playing lifeguard, as he hasn't had time to get much in the way of clothing since he came to Budehuc he's dressed in a pair of old pants that are cut off just past the knees he bought from the general store.]

[Jeane's enjoying herself simply lying down close to the lake's shore. Anyone noticing it will see that her swimming attire is not far from what she wears normally.]

[After putting his robe over his head to get comfortable and block the sun, Shigure is sitting behind a tree trying to catch some z's.]

[ Duke is wearing black speedos and doing some stretches. It appears he just arrived. ]

[ Agnes is holding a few library volumes as she walks past the lakeside, enjoying the sun and -- she squeaks when she sees Duke in his speedos. cover your eyes, agnes. ]

[It's not the Islands, but he's not complaining. At least, it's warm enough to get out of his usual armor and go shirtless. Taking a swim would be so nice after all this time.]

I don't know how you Islanders ever put up with the heat.

[He was minding his own buisiness in the water. Deciding it had been too long since he had a swim.]

[Josephine can be seen wearing a pink one piece swimsuit with red polka dots, it just happens to match her favorite Parasol. There are frills along her hip bones, and along her bust. She has her parasol open and is walking around, handing out flyers for her shop]

[Luc is wearing short sleeves today! Under his robe. Rather than participating in any sort of summertime fun, however, he'll just be sitting under the closest bit of shade to the lake, reading a book with one hand and petting Connie with the other. Yes, perfect.

Fair warning: anyone who bugs him too much is liable to get teleported a few feet over the lake.]
