EVENT: Summer Days

It has been a hot summer for Budehuc this year, and yet there is little to no signs about it coming to an end, even if the next season is expected to show around sometime in the near future.

The warmth of the sun seems to be inviting just about anyone to the lakeside, including the builders and locals from the neighbouring towns of Iksay and Nor. Some have come for the serenity and beautiful scenery, while others just want to have a swim or enjoy some water games. Keep your eyes out for flying beach balls and frisbees!

Oh, what a lovely day! And a great time to show off some of my skills as a FASHION DIVA!

[Josephine can be seen wearing a pink one piece swimsuit with red polka dots, it just happens to match her favorite Parasol. There are frills along her hip bones, and along her bust. She has her parasol open and is walking around, handing out flyers for her shop]

Oh, yes dear! A FASHION DIVA, such as myself, is one who designs her own clothes. Example, moi. [Does a little twirl] I designed and made this swimsuit myself.

FASHION DIVAS also push fashion to the edge! To enlighten the world with bold, cute, sexy and or stunning looks.

I see... so you made that yourself? That is an interesting talent.

[redrosediva]

It is! And a marketable one.

You're a swordswoman, am I right? Any time you have a tear from sparring or battle, I can fix it right up! Or if you need a new outfit I can help you with that as well! Anything from simple and efficient everyday wear to something for a night on a town. Why, even robes for mages and tunics for speedy fighters I can whip up!

That's a very nice offer, unfortunately I don't often wear these clothes. [ She hesitates slightly before continuing. ] You see, I am a knight of Zexen.

Oh! [Studies her for a moment and lowers her voice, leaning forward conspiratorially] You're the captain of the Zexen Knights aren't you? A beautiful woman with silver hair? I heard all about you while I was staying at Brass Castle.

But worry not, your secret is safe with me. Believe it or not I have some experience with being incognito.

Though, next time you go out and truly don't want to be recognized you might want to hide your hair. It's a very distinct color. I wouldn't recommend a temporary dye as it's so light, but a wig, a good wig, will work wonders. I have a few you can borrow.

You certainly have an eye for detail. However, when you say my hair colour is distinctive, does that mean yours is not natural?

Why thank you! One has to have a keen eye in the world of fashion!

And, sadly yes. Mine is dyed this color. My natural color is much darker.

It sounds like you take incognito on a whole new level... [ Looks down at the flyer again to find her name. ] ...Lady "Josephine"?

Ah, it seems you have an ear for details.

Let's just say that my family doesn't approve of my passion. Josephine may not be my birth name, but it is the name I think of myself as.

Nobody who would go so far as changing the colour of their hair wouldn't think of changing their name if it's for the sake of staying hidden. It's unfortunate that your family cannot support your pursuits in life... I hope they will understand someday before it's too late.

That's very kind of you to say, but sadly, I think that them excepting me as who I am won't come to pass.

Jeane said that this sort of thing is not uncommon here. So please do not think me crazy.

[ Fortunately for both, Chris has no trouble believing that. ] You are? I'm sorry... I had no idea.

I don't suppose you remember how you happened to find yourself in this time?

Well, I was trying to keep it a secret, but with so many people I know around it's bound to get out.

I'm not exactly sure how I got here. I was crossing the borders between New Armes and Falena, when suddenly I was near Brass Castle! It was like blinking while on a incredibly fast boat; the scenery can change that fast.

I cannot even imagine that experience.

It sounds like you got back on your feet really fast, starting a new business and all. You're a strong-willed woman.

One thing I can thank my parents for is raising me with a strong will and an attitude to face any obstacle. We are a family of stubborn people.

I just don't see a point in wallowing about things you can't control. Seize the moment, and turn any disadvantage into an advantage!

[ Tir wasn't dressed any differently than usual - he hardly looked like he belonged on the beach at all aside from the fact he replaced his staff with a fishing rod. Still, he took the flier with his free hand, glancing at it. ]

I am now this castle's seamstress, but I am much more than that! I am a FASHION DIVA. I aim to bring joy to people through the clothes I make for them. [Happy sigh]

Oh yes! Absolutely! I can tailor almost anything.

[ He definitely wouldn't wear what she's wearing now, but it doesn't look too gaudy...

Maybe he should consider it... ]
