EVENT: Summer Days

It has been a hot summer for Budehuc this year, and yet there is little to no signs about it coming to an end, even if the next season is expected to show around sometime in the near future.

The warmth of the sun seems to be inviting just about anyone to the lakeside, including the builders and locals from the neighbouring towns of Iksay and Nor. Some have come for the serenity and beautiful scenery, while others just want to have a swim or enjoy some water games. Keep your eyes out for flying beach balls and frisbees!

[Luc is wearing short sleeves today! Under his robe. Rather than participating in any sort of summertime fun, however, he'll just be sitting under the closest bit of shade to the lake, reading a book with one hand and petting Connie with the other. Yes, perfect.

Fair warning: anyone who bugs him too much is liable to get teleported a few feet over the lake.]

[ Sasarai won't get too close or lower himself to Luc's level. Instead, he stands a few feet away from him. They don't really have much of a relationship, and Sasarai still isn't sure how he feels about him.

But he's still going to bug him a little. ]

[Luc spares him a glance. Not a particularly friendly one, but hey, he's not glaring or anything. He's not budging from his spot, either.]

....What do you want?

[ Seems like a safe distance. Sasarai crouches closer to the ground and Luc's level. ]

I was wondering how you were faring here.

[windbrat]

Well, I don't see any reason to talk with you about that.

[Guess you'll just have to tell by looking?]

[ Well he's not bleeding out or trying to kill anyone, so so far so good...or something.

That's not really what he's after.

He sighs. ]

Even if we haven't known each other, we're still brothers.

[He didn't quite expect that reply--it's irritating to hear, somehow.]

...I didn't know you actually considered me a brother.

[Connie, meanwhile, lays her head in Luc's lap in hopes for more petting; he'd kinda stopped when Sasarai showed up.]

[ Whether he can really see Luc as his brother or not. ]

I heard you were here and thought it best to keep an eye out for Leknaat's apprentice.

It's been a while since I last saw you, back at the tower.

[she removes her cloak, folds it neatly, and sets next to Luc]

I believe that was the last time I visited the two of you.

[Zerase's not exactly his favorite person, but familiar company is nice to have.]

That was a few years ago, wasn't it? Lady Leknaat enjoyed your visit. I didn't expect to meet you here, though.

Nor I you. I am here because the stars have guided me here. There are some interesting happenings occurring here.

By interesting happenings, do you mean the time traveling incidents, and the runes?

[ Whatever, Luc, Tir's bugging you anyway. Tir doesn't even look much different than usual aside from the fact his feet aren't wrapped. He sets his fishing rod - which had replaced his staff today - against the tree and sits beside Connie. ]

[Connie wuffs at Tir, and wags her tail! Luc looks up at him too, though he's not wagging anything.]

Going fishing?

[ Cute dog. He'll pet her head with a smile, looking up at Luc. ]

I was thinking of it, but I won't have much luck with so many people swimming out there...

I was wondering when you wanted to visit Karaya.

[windbrat]

[Ah, right. He'd wanted to go, and then temporarily let himself get distracted, and...well.]

...Tomorrow, maybe? It might be cooler then. [Because he doesn't want to leave the shade right now.]

[ And Tyr did his own thing. ]

...We can wait for later in the week, too. It might be even cooler then.
