EVENT: Land of Eternity

A little before noon, there's a sudden, violent shaking of the earth, soon resonating with a series of loud cracks as the ground opens up in front of the manor, down the center of the courtyard, and elsewhere on the castle grounds. Although the tremors shake the builds, loosening roof tiles and disturbing the areas of new construction, nothing managed to completely fall.

And just like that, after only a few minutes, the worst of the quake ends and soon subsides to weaker tremors until, finally, it simply stops altogether.

((OOC: Thank you Lila for writing this up! Feel free to RP either during the big quake or the small tremors. If you want to RP your characters reaction after the quakes, it might be better to write up a new post so the order of events don't get mangled up in this post. ))

I was in my usual spot, the lower floors, until this place suddenly started rocking. I grabbed two of the dogs before running outside, and.. well... they thanked me with their bodily fluids.

[ Looks around, noting the huge cracks in the earth. ] Looks like shit went down here, too.

At least it guarantees you'll be taking a bath today.

I thought someone had cast a spell, but there aren't many runes that can do this kind of damage.

[although, he's never seen it do this. But Sasarai is around here somewhere, isn't he?]

Either way. The manor might have taken damage, and the ship as well. People might be hurt. We shouldn't stand around here staring at a hole in the ground.

Tch! Way ahead of you! [ He starts marching towards the manor, expecting Geddoe to keep up with him. ] By the way, the Bishop is back in town.

[Daw, don't get grumpy, Duke, that's Geddoe's job. He follows a few strides behind, much more calm but inwardly keeping his senses alert for trouble.]

I gathered as much. I hope his trip went well.

Forget about his damn trip, we gotta make sure he's still breathing, don't we?

[ Clearly hasn't made the connection that Sasarai may have caused this. ]

[sigh, but yes. He is still contracted to the SFDF, he should be a good captain and obey]

[ A little kid suddenly runs up to Geddoe and clings to his leg. ]

[ugh, why is it touching him? Geddoe peers down at the kid, all imposing mountain-like]

Mhh. We can split up. If you want to look after S...Bishop Sasarai, go ahead. I'll take care of this.

Bah! Fine, I guess I'll let you have this one, Mr. Hero!

[ Duke actually looks really happy with this idea. He can score points with the boss! ]

[Geddoe, on the other hand, is just. Dry and deadpan as ever. Great. He gets stuck with the kid.]

[sigh. he turns to the kid to find out information about this missing sister.]
