EVENT: Land of Eternity

A little before noon, there's a sudden, violent shaking of the earth, soon resonating with a series of loud cracks as the ground opens up in front of the manor, down the center of the courtyard, and elsewhere on the castle grounds. Although the tremors shake the builds, loosening roof tiles and disturbing the areas of new construction, nothing managed to completely fall.

And just like that, after only a few minutes, the worst of the quake ends and soon subsides to weaker tremors until, finally, it simply stops altogether.

((OOC: Thank you Lila for writing this up! Feel free to RP either during the big quake or the small tremors. If you want to RP your characters reaction after the quakes, it might be better to write up a new post so the order of events don't get mangled up in this post. ))

What do you think happened here? Back in my world when the ground started shaking, it was not always just an earthquake. [ She would go on about fusion of worlds, but that really doesn't matter here since it's highly unlikely to be the case. ]

This was caused by rune magic. A very powerful kind.

Rune magic... that is the thing you practice, yes? I had a feeling this was not natural. [ Especially after overhearing Jeane's comment about it getting worse. She begins to check if her gun is loaded, since there wasn't any time before to do so. ]

Are you saying a person caused this by activating a spell?

Yes and no.

I doubt it was purposely cast. The one capable of doing this has no reason, and likely no desire either, to cause such commotion.

You call this an accident? [ She points at some crying children in the background, they are unharmed and mainly scared. ] Whoever is responsible for this should come forward!

The number one priority should be helping the residents. Besides, what's at work here is not so simple to fix..

Before I go, I... well, I read that runes can be converted into consumable scrolls.

Yes, that's correct.

... [Reaches into the top of her dress and pulls out three small rectangular pieces of paper.] I'm afraid these are all I have on me at the moment.

[ She takes a glance at the scrolls, then looks at Jeane again, not wanting to take them if they're not what she needs. ]

Are any of them made from a water rune? Like the one you demonstrated when we first met?

Only two of them, I'm afraid. Specifically, they cast Kindness Drop. They're only powerful enough to heal one person each.

[ Now she takes the scrolls out of her hands, even the third mystery one. ]

...Where are the instructions written?

O-oh. Well, you just need to visualize the target and the spell will do the rest.

But please be careful not to use the one with the gold writing and lightning symbol on it.

Of course not! I assume that is for the EaD.

The door cracked and I don't know what the condition of the inside is like, but I will check the back room of my shop to see if any more scrolls survived the quake. I'm sure more people will be needing them...
