EVENT: Land of Eternity

A little before noon, there's a sudden, violent shaking of the earth, soon resonating with a series of loud cracks as the ground opens up in front of the manor, down the center of the courtyard, and elsewhere on the castle grounds. Although the tremors shake the builds, loosening roof tiles and disturbing the areas of new construction, nothing managed to completely fall.

And just like that, after only a few minutes, the worst of the quake ends and soon subsides to weaker tremors until, finally, it simply stops altogether.

((OOC: Thank you Lila for writing this up! Feel free to RP either during the big quake or the small tremors. If you want to RP your characters reaction after the quakes, it might be better to write up a new post so the order of events don't get mangled up in this post. ))

[Was near her shop when the quake hits and runs past the door. She's carrying Connie]

Which way do we go?

WHOA-- wrong way, toots! Behind me is just the cafe and a dead end! [ Nods towards the direction of the dojo. ] This way, c'mon, grease it!!

Right! [Falls in behind Duke] Lead the way!

[ Leading the way towards the dojo area while checking to see if the lady is following. Once they reach their destination, he drops to his knees and gently lets the dogs loose. ]

Shit.. that was a hot one...

What is happening?

[Puts Connie down and strokes the dogs head]

That- there was no warning.

[duke_of_hazard]

Damned if I know. I was just on my way to grab some curry when...

[ He looks back at her. ]

--you alright?

[redrosediva]

I'm fine. Just shaken. It's been awhile since I've experienced an earthquake.

You were pretty fast on your legs there. Guess you weren't kidding about being able to take care of yourself, eh?

[redrosediva]

I wasn't. Most of my family was in the military and I may have picked up a thing or two.

[duke_of_hazard]

--Wait, shut up for a second. [ He feels jacket after smelling something funny, not hearing much of her response, until... ] Aw, son of a bitch!

[redrosediva]

Hmmm? Oh, ick!

[backs ups]

[duke_of_hazard]

[ He seems really ticked off about having dog pee on him, and Josephine's reaction isn't helping either. ] Tch! This is what I get for doing things for free.

[redrosediva]

[giggles]

A mercenary through and through huh?

[ Crossed arms. ]

You might wanna check yourself, too, sunshine.

[looks down, then back up, smiling]

I'm clean.

Yeah, well, the day's not over yet.

[ He notices Geddoe walking around in the distance, then quickly turns to Josephine again. ] Hey, you'll be alright on your own, yeah? I think I just spotted another dog.
