EVENT: Land of Eternity

A little before noon, there's a sudden, violent shaking of the earth, soon resonating with a series of loud cracks as the ground opens up in front of the manor, down the center of the courtyard, and elsewhere on the castle grounds. Although the tremors shake the builds, loosening roof tiles and disturbing the areas of new construction, nothing managed to completely fall.

And just like that, after only a few minutes, the worst of the quake ends and soon subsides to weaker tremors until, finally, it simply stops altogether.

((OOC: Thank you Lila for writing this up! Feel free to RP either during the big quake or the small tremors. If you want to RP your characters reaction after the quakes, it might be better to write up a new post so the order of events don't get mangled up in this post. ))

[ He nods and looks to Nash again. ]

Good.

[ That's was his most immediate concern. He doubts there's not even a single person who suffered a serious injury, but he trusts Nash to know if there were mass casualties. ]

This should end soon, so hopefully there won't be anymore.

If not, I have a contingency plan to ensure it.

[ He raises an eyebrow. ]

A contingency plan?

Right now, the rune is only temporarily sealed. If it breaks that seal and I'm still unable to regain control over it, I have an agreement to return to Crystal Valley to prevent it from causing further damage here.

[ Nash wasn't sure Sasarai would admit the cause of the earthquake, but he's surprised that he would make an "agreement". ]

How did you seal the rune? The ritual I saw the Grasslanders perform was… involved.

[ He's thought running off to Caleria with Sierra, if the situation grows worse, but he doesn't say that right now. ]

I'm not the one who placed it. I don't have that power, least of all now.

A woman named Zerase used the Star Rune to place the seal. It should last at least a day, but given the relative power differnce, I'm not going to put all my faith in it holding.

Her again. Did you know she doesn't sleep?

No, but I noticed she can move through walls.

Did something happen between you?

Not yet.

[ He ran into her too early in the morning, once, and since then he's been catching rumors more and more. In Nash's experience, when there is trouble he'll fall into it. ]

[ He pauses as he runs over what he knows. ]

...It might be best if you and your friend left for some time. At least until the situation here stabilizes.

Maybe. [ He can see the level that it makes the most sense, certainly. ] But I hate to run away. I just ran into a falling building.

You did; I almost wondered if you were after something. Are you sure you should stay here?

I was looking for you.

[ziemia]

[ His expression softens, and, after a few seconds, he pushes himself up from his chair. ]

Since you've found me, let's leave.

[ Not that he intends to go far. Just outside should be fine in his opinion. ]

Can you walk?

[ His tone is professional, but quieter. ]

Yes. I'm just tired...

[ His hand lingers on the table a second until he steps beside Nash. ]

I must look worse than I actually feel. Let's head out.
